What happens between your lessons

A student sees a teacher for a few hours a week. The rest of the week is where Thai gets lost. When I was studying Thai on an ED visa, I wished I had something in my pocket for the days between classes. So I built it.

What it is

Effortless Thai turns the Thai your students have already met in class into flashcards. Take a photo of a page from the class book, choose the lines to keep, and each one becomes a card with its English meaning and audio. A card shows the tones in colour and the vowel length. After the flip, "Why these tones?" opens a short lesson on the rule behind the sound.

Then the app brings each card back right before a student would forget it. That's called spaced repetition, and it takes a few minutes a day.

It's a website, so there's nothing to install. Students open it on their own phone, in their own time.

What it isn't

It isn't a course, and it doesn't replace the teacher. It has no lesson plan of its own, and there's nothing for a teacher to mark or administer. Your students keep their book; this covers the days in between, so they come to the next class having already heard and reviewed last week's phrases.

A free month for one class

I'd like to give one of your classes a free month. The teacher picks the pages, and every student gets the full app for the month, with a deck made from those pages: meanings and audio on every card. After the month we look at what the students actually did. If it helped, we agree on something that works for both sides.
